Which Format Should I Use?
EPS - EPS is the right choice for use with advanced graphics software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Freehand) or desktop publishing programs (e.g., QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign). The EPS format is resolution independent (not based on pixels). Vector-based EPS graphics are the best option for high-quality printing and publishing.
TIFF - TIFF is the most universal and most widely supported format across all platforms (Mac, Windows, Unix, etc.) The TIFF files provided are not compressed and have white backgrounds. They are appropriate for PowerPoint or Microsoft Word use.
JPEG - JPEGs are compressed images well suited for use on the web because of their small file size. JPEG files are appropriate for web icons, web graphics, and on-screen PowerPoint presentations, but they lack the resolution to be used for high-quality printing.
